Population Activism Project

What is the impact of overpopulation on Earth and how can we solve it?

Students learn about how human population size directly effects the environment. The projects starts with the selection of an issue that will be effected by an increase in population.. From here two non-profits are found that works on our group's issue and interviewed about their organization, actions, and financials. With this information, a portfolios of them is created like the one shown below:

With a good idea of what is being done, action replaced research. It was now up to each group to make tangible change within their subtopic through a variety of actions learning what it truly means to be an activist and start a social movement of their own.

Zoom Land 2021 Populations Project

 SEA-DISC was 100% online for the populations project, in the year 2021, so the populations project went a bit differently than previous years. We all made a variety of different videos regarding different issues with population growth. Although it was a very difficult time for teachers, and students, everyone prevailed and created amazing video submissions. A couple of examples are below.
